The time needed to plan your wedding depends in part on the number of guests you expect.
If you’re planning an intimate celebration, venues and catering may be easier to secure. For larger weddings, we recommend starting at least nine months in advance. This gives us time to secure your choice of venue, plan the menu, provide vendor recommendations, and ensure your guests have enough time to book travel and respond to invitations.
While we don’t offer traditional wedding packages, our team will work with you to create a personalized experience based on your vision and needs.

Many couples choose a date that allows their guests plenty of time to enjoy a vacation on Oahu, while others plan their wedding as a perfect escape from the winter months. Ultimately, the best time to get married in Hawaii is when it feels right for you.
Because destination weddings require travel, guest lists tend to be smaller. Fewer people are usually able to make the trip to Hawaii, which often results in a more personal and intimate celebration—perfect for creating lasting memories with your closest loved ones.

Marriage in Hawaii requires a license. To apply, the couple must appear together before a marriage license agent. In Honolulu, that means going to the Health Department Building. You must present your valid identification, along with a completed application, which can applied for online. Your license is valid immediately for a period of 30 days.
